Argus Interactive Agency's Director of Search Marketing Speaks to International Managers

Santa Ana, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2006

Bob Carilli, the Director of Search Engine Marketing for Argus Interactive Agency, Inc. (http://www.argusinteractive.com), a Web Services Firm based in Santa Ana, has become a featured search engine marketing speaker at UC Schools.

"Because search engine visibility has been proven to significantly increase sales revenues, today's top companies are shifting their attention and advertising budgets toward multiple search engine marketing tactics," said Carilli. "It is important for students of advertising to learn the history, reasoning, and strategy behind today's search engine marketing techniques if they want to succeed in online marketing."

On May 3, Carilli spoke to a group of international students at UC Irvine about the growing industry of search engine marketing. In June, he will present the same information to a group of students at UCLA.

"Right now, the two most significant marketing competencies are Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing," said Nance Rosen, Instructor, UC Irvine Extension Accelerated Marketing Communications Certificate Program. "Whether a business is global or local, whether its market strategy is business-to-consumer or business-to-business: there is no way to succeed without mastering how to compete on the Internet."

"Recently, Bob Carilli had a profound effect on a group of managers from around the world, who attended my seminar on Marketing on the Web at UC Irvine," said Rosen. "Bob's presentation to us was filled with fresh insight and eye-opening realities. He displays an unparalleled capability to harness the late breaking trends and advanced techniques that keep a company on top of this mission critical competency."

Carilli's presentation focuses on the different types of search engine marketing tactics in the market today and the importance for businesses to implement them.

As the Director of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) at Argus Interactive Agency, Carilli uses his expertise to help clients receive higher visibility and rankings on Google, Yahoo!, MSN and other search engines. Specifically, in his role Carilli leads a team of SEM managers to strategically boost clients' "natural" search rankings through Search Engine Optimization (SEO), as well as implementing and monitoring the performance of pay-per-click (PPC) search buys to reach target metrics and monthly budgets. He also implements campaigns to actively test and analyze keywords, advertising copy, landing pages and positioning to increase ROI, drive traffic, and increase sales volume. Carilli continually leverages new tools and industry best practices to ensure clients remain leaders in search engine placement, and stay abreast of new developments and opportunities in the SEM domain.

Carilli was also recently a featured speaker at the Search Engine Strategies Conference and Expo in New York City, which was attended by 6,000 online marketing professionals.
